Fibes Double Forte Clear Crystalite Drum Set by original owner. Play heads are translucent blue triple layer Evans rock heads. All heads in great condition. Set was purchased new in 1971 and was made to order from the factory. They have been babied since day one and it's obvious. When not set up, they spent their time in hard shell cases which were purchased on that same day. These drums are in excellent condition and will play very well for another lifetime. They sound as deep and beautiful today as they did when they were purchased. These drums thunder. They are exceptionally clean, extremely well made,and solid as a rock. Double tom-tom mounts on the bass drums are heavy duty Ludwig mounts, custom fitted as Fibes mounts were not quite as heavy duty at the time. Ludwig Atlas snare stand. Five heavy duty Ludwig cymbal stands are very sturdy and well made. Includes a heavy duty Pearl hi-hat fitted with 14" Zildian cymbals. Double felt bass pedals are by Pearl. Cymbals are Avedis Zildian except for the fully repaired 18" K. Zildian heavy ride. All cymbals purposely have the original patina and have never been polished or chemically cleaned to enhance a mellow tone from a wooden stick. All drums have the correct size black hard shell cases in excellent condition. A rolling trap case with a removable drawer protects the snare drum and holds all drum hardware including cymbals and pedals. These are a rare find. I will only sell this as a complete set. I doubt if there is a Fibes Double Forte clear crystalite drum set this complete and as nice available anywhere. I'm selling these to pay for my little dog's eye surgery. $3500.00 firm.
