They like to add fees on the back end of the car. 1995 reconditioning fee or whatever they call it. You don’t know about it until you are talking numbers. After I bought the car when I came to pick it up it had 150 more miles than when I left it. I picked it up about a week after I bought it. No one should be driving it, not sure why it was driven. Other than that they fixed a few things they said they would and the process of buying itself was pretty smooth and quick. Not a fan of hidden fees and pretty shady when your car has 150 extra miles after purchasing.

I purchased a used Toyota RAV4 from Liberty Auto Plaza on July 30th. Within weeks, a certified mechanic informed me the vehicle needed spark plugs, an ignition coil, and a throttle body cleaning — repairs that should have been identified before selling the car.

I contacted the dealership expecting accountability and support. Instead, I was told it was my responsibility and offered no assistance, even though the issues surfaced immediately after purchase. I was simply advised to “check other shops for quotes” and consider a payment plan for the repair bill.

I understand used cars require maintenance, but a reputable dealership stands behind its vehicles — especially when problems show up this quickly. A little customer care would have gone a long way.

If you’re considering buying here, be sure to have your own trusted mechanic inspect the car before finalizing the deal.
