This is a consew model 220, lock stitch sewing machine. It is fully functional, so is the clutch/brake motor. I’ve sewn many things with this and it is powerful and fast. It has a new drive belt, should be good for another 40 years. I’ve replaced the lubricating oil and oil feed tubes, and it will come with a half of a gallon of Lilly white sewing machine oil. I have it set up for upholstery thread, and it has a new throat plate and feed dogs, they are still sharp. Comes with a few dozen needles. This machine was never used in a factory, I bought it from the son of a woman who used it to make doll clothes out of her home. This machine can go through about 20 feet of fabric in one minute. It does 5,000 stitches a minute, as long as 6 per inch, as short as 12 per inch. The last photo is of a book I bound with this machine, it stitched right through 30 pages of 20 pound copy paper at full speed, no problem. I can’t remember the last time I broke a needle with this machine, its timing is spot on and it sews very well. I wouldn’t sell it but I have 3 other machines and I don’t use this one much anymore. It’s time for someone else to use it to sew leather, marine vinyl, or even lightweight fabrics, or anything in between. I’ve used this machine to sew thin leather golfing gloves, denim jeans, corsets, massage tables, outdoor umbrellas, skydancer tube-men, beach towels, trampolines, climbing harnesses, tow straps, dog collars, gun holsters, curtains, boat sails, awnings, tents, motorcycle jackets, duck hunting onesies, even Kevlar racing suits can be sewn with it. It’s capable of sewing anything except integrity to a politician. It has no reverse, so you will have to know how to tie a knot in thread. I can demonstrate this if needed. I can also show you how to use it, set it up for different garments or fabric or threads, and how to thread it and wind a bobbin, as well as set thread tension and bobbin tension and stitch lengths.
