Kiln-dried wood helps prevent warping, splitting, cracking and the development of mildew. The mahogany finish is a water based stain that is applied to the legs of the chair by hand and wired brushed to create texture. The seat is comprised of woven Havana Dark abaca. Natural seagrass has a subtle fragrance similar to hay and other grass varieties; this scent will dissipate over time. Color variations are inherent in the natural plant fibers used in the seagrass collection. Constructed using mortise-and-tenon joinery and corner blocks for exceptional stability. The abaca is sealed with two coats of clear lacquer for moisture resistance. The chairs have plastic glides on the bottom of them to prevent them from scratching hard-surface floors. Made in the Philippines. Condition: Pre-owned. In good condition. The chairs have some marks, stains, scratches, pilling, fading, discoloration, peeling, nicks, chips and dents on them. The wicker has started to unravel a little in some areas. Some of the wicker is broken. Some of the chairs are missing some of the tags/labels underneath them. Some of the elastic bands that are around the springs that are underneath the chairs are missing. Some of the plastic glides on the bottom of the chairs are a little loose. See pictures for details.
