2008 Lexus IS 250

I purchased this for my 16 year old son, as a means of getting to and from his summer job. Well, he didn't end up with a summer job, and I learned it would more than double my insurance rate to add him, so we are taking a flyer on getting a "first car" for now. I've owned it for less than 1,000 miles, but did address a few things that were apparent when I bought it: - Replaced the radiator fan, that was causing the A/C to cut out at stoplights. It has blown Lexus cold ever since. - Replaced the driver's front brake caliper and both front brake pads - Replaced a camshaft position sensor that was throwing a code. No reoccurrences since. - The interior is in great shape for the year, and got a thorough detailing. Apart from a hairline crack in the center console shifter area, you'd never know this car was 18 years old inside. No rips or tears in the leather, no headliner sag, etc.. I am a firm believer in full disclosure, so here's what I'd want to know before I came to take a look: - The body is in "okay" condition overall. There are scratches, stone chips, and a few small dents. The biggest addressable body flaw is the rear bumper. The previous owner apparently used a truck to push it up on a flatbed tow truck at some point, and there is a spiderweb pattern in the paint as a result (last photo). I would describe the body overall as a "50 footer". - I suspect there is a small exhaust leak. I have had a P0430 code trip once, which is nearly always a pinhole leak near the B2S2 o2 sensor on these IS, based on my research. There is a chance that o2 sensor may be failing, and an outside chance that it is something more serious like the catalytic converter, but given the mileage I don't think that's likely. Overall, it's a great car that I just can't justify keeping given the financial implications and extremely limited use it would receive. I will consider reasonable offers.
