Amazing vintage high gain all tube amplifier. Made in the USA! Early 90s all tube (2 EL84S 3 12AX7AS) Two plus channel ampifier, the grandaddy of the iconic Peavey 5150! Fat, warm clean channel with a 3 band eq, and a high gain channel with an active 3 band eq- far more chug than anyone would ever need, but pull the Gain knob for a mid shifted brutally high gain boost that saturates the already high gain tones. A shared footswitchable true spring reverb, a compact 1x12 cabinet, and you have an amplifier that will turn your Orange into orange juice. (And will have it with breakfast!) Reliable, flexible and portable. . Sounds good as is, but plug in a closed back 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet and these come alive! A sleeper amp, truly. The original "Ultra Series" amp from Peavey- 25 tube watts is very very loud- ive gigged these live and thats no problem. Nicknamed the Mississippi Marrshall for a reason. Adult owned, good condition with soe tears in the tolex, brand new set of JJ Tubes, an Eminence Legend replacement speaker- does show its age as a 35 year old amplifier. Priced to local and national average sold prices- these were under the radar for a long time but recently have come into their own. Thanks for looking- come get it!
