2 Vintage EVEREADY C Batteries No. 935 featuring stickers from the long gone FOWLER, DICK & WALKER department store. Later known as FOWLER’S, the first store was opened in Wilkes-Barre PA in 1879. Other locations were later added in Binghamton NY, Evansville IN, Hazleton PA and Johnson City NY. They declared bankruptcy in 1980 and sold locations to such businesses as Boscov’s and Hess’s,. These 2 Eveready flashlight batteries are PRESUMED DEAD from age and/or use. Condition is otherwise excellent as shown in the pics. They feature the 9 lives black cat logo and were made by Union Carbide in USA. Original price was 20 cents each!! See pics for more details.
