Absolutely gorgeous pair of Italian marble lamps made from one of the most coveted marbles in the world: Nero Portoro. Presumed to be designed by Walter Von Nessen and this type of marble was also often used by Robsjohn Gibbings but there are no designer labels or a signature on them. Marble has incredibly beautiful veining that has a base color of nearly black deepest gray with caramel brown, beige, and gray veins. In very good condition but each lamp has a fingernail sized chip but luckily they are near the back close to the hole for the cord so not seen from the front view. One of the lamps has a slight bit of a grey vein that has come dislodged but this is not noticeable unless the lamp is being closely inspected. The cords are assumed to be original with three way switches and the hardware is a bit loose but still work fine and are fully operational. Overall in very good condition for their age and a very hard to find pair in this lovely color. Shades will not be provided but harps can be included if desired.
