Wood carved Collectors Minnie Mouse by Kappy co.

For your consideration we have this nearly impossible to track down finished production Kappy Co. Minnie figurine. The statue measures 18” tall with a 7.5” base diameter, and weighs 6 lbs. This one is a final production example, or very nearly so, as you can see the Disney branding on the underside. Kappy originally had a licensing contract with Disney to produce 1000 of these statues in the late 1980's. Unfortunately, the company owner passed away unexpectedly, and only a handful of the figures were ever finished. This is a holy grail for collectors, one of the rarest pieces of Disneyana known. The last photo shows the same exact item being offered on fleabay with a broken nose and clear coated.Mine has only a scratch on the ear and no broken wood and in its original natural wood not clear coated.
