Description
For sale is my 1974 Mercedes-Benz 450SL, finished in rare Pine Green Metallic over a tan interior. This iconic R107 roadster includes both the convertible soft top and the removable hardtop, along with a rolling hardtop stand. Powered by the original 4.5L V8 and automatic transmission, the car runs flawlessly and is completely turn-key. It has been meticulously maintained under my ownership, with tasteful upgrades and a full paper trail to match. There are absolutely no mechanical issues — it starts, drives, and stops exactly as it should, with nothing needing attention. All servicing has been handled by Pacific Motors in Santa Monica, a local Mercedes specialist. At the time of my purchase, I had all outstanding issues addressed, including rebuilding the steering column, servicing the brakes, replacing the battery, and completing a full mechanical inspection. The car runs as good as new, with no overheating, no leaks, no warning lights, and no driveability concerns of any kind. All service records are available and included in a binder, along with the original sales ticket and factory manuals. The Pine Green paint is in excellent condition with a deep, even shine. There is a small dent on the front fender, inherited from the previous owner, which I’ve left untouched as it doesn’t affect drivability or overall appearance. The body is entirely rust-free, with no history of rust repair. The trunk is spotless and includes the factory spare, jack, and tools. Inside, the tan interior is in great shape, showing minimal wear. Power windows, heat, and air conditioning all function properly. The hardtop fits snugly, and the soft top is clean and operates smoothly. 103,xxx miles and the odometer works well. Tasteful upgrades include a discreetly installed Bluetooth system (no visible modern stereo), a SunPro temperature gauge, and a vintage-style cassette head unit. These modern touches preserve the original look of the cabin while enhancing usability for regular driving. I’m selling the car because I’m moving and don’t have space to store it. It’s been a joy to own — reliable, stylish, and fun — and it’s ready for a new owner to enjoy immediately without any mechanical worries. Asking $21,100 or best offer. Clean California title in hand. Located in Santa Monica. Test drives are available by appointment for serious buyers only. No trades or lowball offers, please.
