ABOUT This blast from the past burled wood coffee table and side tables set is by Century Furniture, circa 1970s, in the Ming style, featuring glamorous burled wood and smoked glass tile inserts, with amazing details such as beveled glass for each insert, cutouts giving the top a sense of architectural floating, and chinoiserie styled scroll legs. James Mont would be proud of this fantastic design and construction, high quality materials demonstrating that they definitely "don't make em like they used to". The gorgeous wood grain is bright and vivia, condition on this set is a 9 out of 10, you have to look hard to find any wear, it's like this set was perfectly preserved just for you. Just some minor scuffing and fine scratches but in otherwise showroom condition and presents extremely well. Excellent for the interior designer or decorator, or anyone who wants to channel their inner Bruce Lee and sit back in their living room watching old Kung Fu flicks. The main attraction is the end table with beveled glass top and a lower shelf to place a lamp, books, sculpture or photograph albums. Also consider using the end table as bedside tables or nightstands or as occasional tables or lamp tables.
