Description
Great condition 3 channel all tube made in Britain Marshall amplifier. Everything works and has been serviced in the last two months and given the green light; has not left the house, let alone gigged since then. Just used for a few hours here and there for practice time and recording (sounds great mic'd up!). Amp is on heavy-duty casters for easier movement when on flat surfaces. Internal speakers are Celestion Wolverines (can't beat a Marshall with Celestions, right?). Amp will easily do about any style i've tried, from Jazz to classic rock to 80's rock and i've had other players do the "chugging" and "djent" type metal guitar things with it, they gave it the thumbs up. Separate reverbs for the clean channel and the 2 gain channels, separate EQ for the same, and separate volume and gain for each individual channel plus master volume and master presence as well as a master FX loop knob, controlling how much "wet" signal from The FX loop is bled into your sound. There's a switch on the back panel, located at the FX Loop, which also helps control this. On the front panel, there is a "shift" switch (functions more-or-less similar to a light High Pass Filter, very useful for bright guitars, of which I own many) which also controls the amount of presence from a different spot in the amp's "tonestack" (circuitry) and a "depth" switch( adds in the low, low frequencies, or opposite of presence, and makes the amp just sound wider. I often have it on, with the swift switch engaged too, when even playing jazz, jazz fusion, or soft rock or AC/DC or Led Zeppelin type stuff, they're not just for making the amp more metal!) Included is the 5 button channel switch which lets you switch between all 3 channels and turn the Reverb and FX Loop on and off, if you want to use the footswitch for channel switching, you'll want to engage both of the buttons on the far left of the front panel (they're little black buttons that are the first two switches on the front panel, they also explain this) Got this amp in a trade, had my fun with it, but have some very nice amplifiers already that can do that Marshall thing, so I just don't need it. I kinda just wanna move it, so I'll sell for $475; I know that's well under market but I reiterate - nothing wrong with the amp, just hard to sell gear at the price it used to go for used no problem, not as many folks seem willing to part with their cash on "not technically necessary" purchases. $475 cash is firm, no trades, can meet in Dripping Springs at my place if you want to hear it or at the South Austin Guitar Center (by the Target Store right off of Mopac/Loop 1 Southbound)
