I restore old vintage dome pendulum clocks as a hobby. Time to pass along the results. 400 day torsion clocks were popular in the early 50s and 60s before the advent of quartz movements. These mechanical clocks are wound once a year, typically on a special anniversary, and are fascinating mechanical wonders. Kids love to watch them operate.
