Sony VG-C4EM Vertical Grip for Alpha a7R IV Easily capture footage for extended periods in the vertical orientation when you equip your Sony Alpha with the VG-C4EM vertical grip. The Sony VG-C4EM is a dedicated camera grip for the new Alpha and features an ergonomic design to give you a comfortable grip when holding your camera in the vertical position. The grip also improves mobility when shooting handheld. Its layout is similar to the overall design of the camera body, giving it the same feeling as when holding the camera horizontally. Other useful features include a secondary shutter button and Multi Selector. This camera grip can hold up to two high-capacity NP-FZ100 batteries to supply the a7R IV with additional power, effectively doubling its operation time and allowing you to shoot for prolonged periods uninterrupted. The batteries can be charged while still inside the camera grip using the USB port of the camera body. The VG-C4EM camera grip has a dust- and moisture-resistant magnesium alloy construction that is similar to the build of the Alpha. Use the Sony Alpha comfortably with the VG-C4EM vertical grip. Vertical Grip makes it easy to hold the camera and operate controls with nearly the same feel as when holding the camera horizontally. Auto switch Accommodates one or two Z-series batteries. When using two batteries, the camera automatically switches from one battery to the other, for continuous operation. USB Charging Batteries loaded in the vertical grip can be charged via the camera's USB port without detaching the grip from the camera. In addition, supplementary power can be supplied via the camera's USB port3 for extended use. Comfort and ease The VG-C4EM is designed to almost precisely match the shape of the grip on the Alpha camera to provide a more comfortable grip, while buttons, chassis material, and shape are consistent with those of the camera, providing an integrated appearance and operational feel. Tray-style battery compartment lets you easily slide in batteries. Matching Alpha buttons Recent improvements to the material and shape of the Alpha camera body have also been applied to the VG-C4EM Vertical Grip. Specifically, the grip incorporates improvements to the design of operating buttons which enhance the button pressing sensation, enlargement and optimized location of AF-ON button, and a redesigned Multi-selector. The grip is broader, providing more room for the pinky and middle finger, resulting in operational "feel" that matches that of the Alpha camera.
