1980 Honda Cm400a Hondamatic

This "Hondamatic" has come a long way from its staring role in Prince's "Purple Rain". It has been stripped and bobbed. Over jetted and set for max power. I bought this bike 6 years ago while living in Seattle. Most of the modification were done before me. Mostly just worked on reliability. It is a super unique bike and a great starter bike. No clutch and only two gears! It starts and pulls hard. Lots of fun to ride and gets looks anywhere. Lots of questions about what happened to the clutch! I’ll also throw in the clymer manual just in case. The good: (since I’ve had it) - carbs rebuilt and over jetted to account for more airflow due to pod filters - New brake master - New wiring harness from Sparck Moto w/ full LED conversion and lossless capable - LED lights all around - Rebuilt stater - New custom paint on tank and body - Liquid tank liner - Washington title in my name - Comes with (NOT INSTALLED) a custom fender, a secondary tank, new brake shoes, and new spark plugs The less good: - Has a ding in the new tank (see pics) - Leaks a little oil (what 40 year old bike doesn't?) - Electric start solenoid is dead (just died last year. I always kick start the bike so I never noticed or cared to replace it) - Tags expired during the pandemic (Washington plate) Jo
