Good day! My name is Nick and I run a small store called Supertight Imports. We have toys, games, guitars, memorabilia, and other odds and ends from the US and abroad. I've got a pre-lawsuit 1972-73 Aria 5502 ES-335 copy. Made in the Matsumoku factory. I came to the year based on the Aria dating of serial numbers (the serial on this particular guitar is 167399. Though I do not think I am too far off on the year, if I am could someone PLEASE let me know so I can reflect the right year) made in Japan, whose craftsmanship is still evident even though it seems that this guitar has stood the test of time. The manufacturer stamp on the inside actually says ES-345 where the model number is, so this is a very pre-lawsuit guitar. It's cherry red, with a three piece maple neck, and a framed maple body. Aside from a some modifications that the previous owner made (which include adding a trussrod cover, west german schaller tuners, and various hole fillings/body fillings, the guitar is all original, to my knowledge. Tuners are excellent west german Schallers. Electronics are original, including the Macon pickups (super hot and super heavy!) The guitar has been set up/serviced by Matt DeFrancisco @ Alexandria Music, Alexandria, VA. It is a little buzzy, to be so honest, but it's been sitting in a pawn shop (took out a loan, didn't buy it from a pawn shop) for almost six months. Just got it back.
