Parting with my B&K Components preamplifier and 5-channel amplifier combo. B&K Components Reference 31 (a factory-upgraded Reference 30) preamplifier. It supports Dolby Digital Surround EX, DTS, DTS NEO 6, DTS ES, DTS 96/24, THX Surround EX, THX Ultra 2, Stereo, Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital, and more. The preamp still works great but lacks HDMI inputs as it was manufactured back to the early 2000s. The unit is in very good condition for its age. The backlit remote control still works great. The only known issue is the main volume knob potentiometer is finicky, reacting spastically, but using the remote alleviates that issue. Fixable with the right skills. B&K Components AV5000 amplifier output is rated at 100W RMS x 3, plus 60W RMS x 2. Perfect for a 5.0 setup. It’s also in great condition for its age. The only issue with this piece is the amplifier ON/OFF switch stuck ON one day and I didn’t want to break it by forcing it into the OFF position. It stayed ON for a couple of years without issues. Still functions flawlessly. Might be an easy fix for someone with the knowledge. I can include a second-print user manual for both units. This is solid equipment, very tweakable, made in America, and still decodes just about everything out there, except for Atmos-like types with x.x.# processing. Asking $300 or best offer.
