Description

Raleigh Cycle Company of America “The Chill” Main Frame Tubes 6061 – T8 Thermal Bonded Alcoa Aluminum Made in U.S.A. Seat Spenco Gel Avocet Shimano Deore Light Action Shimano Biopace 46 Extra tires: Specialized FAT BOY 26x1.25 The Technium Chill featured aluminum main tubes, thermally bonded to a steel rear triangle with a wishbone brakestay and chainstay U-brake mounts. Eyelets for racks and fenders make this a perfect candidate for a commuter build. Shimano Deor components adorn the Technium Chill. A way to determine the age of a bike is to identify the Shimano codes on the components. I’ve listed a few of these below: - Front derailleur: FD-MT60 (MD) - Rear derailleur: RD-MT60 (MD) - Drive side crank arm: FC-MT60 (MC) - Front brake: BR-M730 (Left=LJ, Right = LK) The date codes consist of two capitalized letters within a circle somewhere on the backside of each component. The first letter corresponds to the year of manufacture while the second indicates the month within that year. Shimano began using this code in 1976 with the letter A and continued until 2003 the derailleurs for my Technium both had codes of “ MD“ so that would mean they were made in April (D) of 1988 (M). These are most likely the original components sold with the bike when it first rolled out of the shop. Thank you for your interest in my items. Please contact me if you have any questions. 🎈I meet in front of Albertsons Grocery Store (close to 5 Freeway) at 33601 Del Obispo St., Dana Point, CA to finalize sale. [I Do Not Ship] 🎈 Have A Great Blessed Day! Best Regards, Patricia
