Description
This gorgeous pair of doors came from the historic 1913 Busch Building/ Kirby Residences in downtown Dallas. The building was built by famed brewer Adolphus Busch as office and retail space to accompany his famed Adolphus Hotel. This set would have come from the interior of the building, possibly from a vestibule. Based on my research of the building, I believe the doors are oak with brass fittings. One half of one hinge and pin is missing. The holes that can be seen in the top of the doors would be from a retrofit for hydraulic door closers. One set of backplates is attached on one side of the doors. Included, but not attached is another set of backplates that may or may not be the plates for this set of doors. Each door measures 83.25” high, 26.75” wide and 2.25” in depth. These are very heavy doors.
