Description
Extremely Rare 14” Pinocchio doll c. 1960s with working squeaker and movable head, arms, and legs, made by Famosa. In the 1960s, the Spanish toy maker Famosa (Fábricas Agrupadas de Muñecas de Onil S.A.) held an official license from Walt Disney Productions to produce character merchandise, creating rubber squeak toys, hand puppets, and vinyl figures of Pinocchio. Made of flexible rubber or soft vinyl, typical of mid-century European squeak toys (pouet-pouet). Styled directly after the classic animated look from the 1940 Walt Disney film. Original squeakers inside the rubber bodies often stopped working over time due to age, however this one works. Paint wear on the hat or face is common. Highly sought-after vintage Disney collectible. Price negotiable.
