Description

All-Fiberglass Sunrader for sale The two best things I have ever seen in the RV world is the combination of the greatest Toyota chassis ever built with a fiberglass-body RV on top. This ‘83 Sunrader has perhaps Toyota’s best and most durable workhorse motor (the 22R) which is smooth, and strong with a standard four-speed transmission. Fuel economy is between 15-19 mpg depending on conditions. The odometer has 90,XXX miles. The rear axle has been upgraded to a full-floater one ton axle, geared for highway travel with six very good tires, not brand new but very low miles. The overall length is 21’, and the exterior is in presentable condition. On the interior only, this RV is a “project vehicle.” The right next owner is someone who is a craftsman/builder/mechanic type. The old particle-board interior has been removed and the roof structure has been reframed in metal for strength and durability. The original all-fiberglass bathroom stall is in place with combo shower, toilet, and sink. The following components are included for the new owner to finish installing: -- a newer Dometic propane/electric two-door jumbo-size refrigerator/freezer for extended camping with fresh food without hitting up a grocery store -- functioning propane stove/oven -- 6-gallon propane water heater -- a ducted propane furnace with three ducts, including one in the bath which is very nice on those cold days -- kitchen sink and fresh water pump -- a new high-flow reversible ceiling fan/vent As far as I know, everything works. It already has a 20-gallon fresh water tank and black and grey water waste tanks. There are two twenty pound (5-gallon) propane tanks as well. There is room for two deep-cycle house batteries which will need to be purchased. It will need to have the cracked glass replaced on driver side living area window. It also will need a catalytic converter to pass any smog test, but it has a California smog-certified header. With a little love and effort this camper can rival any on the road and will outlast the vast majority of what is being built nowadays. The price I’m asking is firm and I think very fair. I’m in the North Orange County area and am available anytime. I am moving out of state at the end of August and will be taking it with me if I can’t find a home for it. Looking forward to answering any questions you may have. Thank you, George (contact info removed)
