I have done so many modifications to this van, and let me tell you, it has been a genuinely good time, but alas, like all good things, this too must pass. Mini has informed me that she would like to find a new owner, Someone that enjoys long cross country drives like the ones she’s accustomed to making, someone who will take her to remote and interesting places, such as the mythic beaches of Oaxaca or the beautiful peaks of British Columbia, all places she has visited and loved. I will try and make a list of all the different modifications and extras that she features, however it will be hard, there are so many. With a whopping 312,000 miles on the clock you may be asking yourself, “is this a reliable van?” Let me tell you, in all of my years of driving this beautiful rough-hewn chariot of steel and passion I have never, ever broken down. I would, without hesitation, drive this van all the way to Tierra del Fuego, or put her on a boat bound for Europe. Mini does REFUSES go into limp mode, even when she’s supposed to because things are not working. It’s a survivor van, who’s tenacity I believe to be unparalleled, and I would know, I’ve owned over 25 sprinter vans. Fortunately for her new owner, Mini comes with miles of paperwork and work receipts totaling over $15,000 in different mechanical procedures and maintenance.
