I’ve owned this Peavey Audition 110 for 20+ years and only used it a handful of times, mainly to record synths with that crunchy breakup tube sound. It’s LOUD, so I could never really use it as a practice amp. Seriously, it gets loud with pre and post gain set to 3. If you’re looking for a loud practice amp with lots of gain, or looking to record with something that has plenty of crunchy tube breakup, this is for you. Transtube means it doesn’t use actual tubes, but sounds like it does. Kind of like valvestate. Cleans actually sound great with anything in between that and total distortion.
