Vintage Levi’s type III wool lined blanket big E jacket 1960s rare

Vintage Levi’s Type III horizontal striped wool lined blanket “Big E” 526 jacket. Will fit size small or medium. Levi’s introduced type III jacket in 1962. Levi’s only produced the 526 jacket from 1962 to some time in the mid 1960’s and officially discontinued the big E red tag in 1971. Excellent vintage patina. Some signs of wear, tear inside under arm and collar. Some paint residue on sleeve and left breast pocket. Original buttons with 526 engraved on reverse. Faded blue wash with brown wool lining. Very rare. The 526 type three jacket by Levi’s is considered rare compared to other Levi’s denim jackets from the same period. These jackets are sought after by collectors and vintage clothing enthusiast due to their unique features, including the wool lining, and specific design details associated with the type III jacket.
