Description
The Hyalyn Porcelain Company was a prominent mid-century-modern art pottery manufacturer in Hickory, North Carolina from 1945 to 1973. The company produced the work of many notable designers, such as Georges Briard. This tray is made of slip cast porcelain clay with a glossy, soft grey glaze and dry foot. Excellent vintage condition. Several molding and glazing irregularities, as expected in art pottery pieces. No chips, cracks, or crazing. A few minor surface scratches, too small to show in photos. 10-3/8” long x 6-3/8” wide x 1-3/4” tall. Asking $36 OBRO. (One in a different color SOLD on eBay for $54.56 + $35.50 delivery. Another is offered for $70 + $9 delivery. Both plus sales tax. See last 2 photos.) No pets or smoking in home. Free pickup in Saratoga Springs, NY. If out of area: invoice, payment and shipping through PayPal. Check out my other items; will ship together to save on postage. No holds. First come, first served. Cross posted.
