1889 Chickering Grand Piano

Early American Victorian Era This beautiful piece of history has been meticulously restored with excellent craftsmanship. It features Brazilian Rosewood veneer, newly treated and refinished, restoring it to it's original beauty with the original veneer looking radiant (no stain was used, it's the original color). The leg braces have been replaced with modern braces because the originals were not structurally sound after 150 years of use. Everything else is original. The piano was refinished with time tested shellac and coated with polyurethane for durability and sheen. It appears it was restrung sometime in the 1960s. The action is original (2-3 hammers and whippens have been replaced over the years) and has been fully regulated and tuned by Mel's Piano Shop in Chehalis WA (Mel has been in the piano industry for 50 years and only does top quality work). Mel is available to talk about the piano from a technicians stand point upon request. Have a video of piano being played, only for serious buyers! The piano is set up and ready for viewing in a climate controlled storage in Tacoma WA and can be played by setting up an appointment with Nikita Lipatov (call/text/email).
