2000 Base Set 2 Pidgeot #14 – Possible Missing Holo Error

2000 Pokémon Base Set 2 Pidgeot #14/130 – POSSIBLE MISSING HOLO LAYER / NON-HOLO ERROR Asking $1,500 OBO. This is an unusual Base Set 2 Pidgeot #14/130. The standard Base Set 2 #14 is a holo rare, but this copy appears completely non-holographic despite retaining the correct Base Set 2 symbol, #14/130 holo numbering, artwork and card layout. I have photographed it under direct and angled lighting and compared it against normal vintage Pidgeot examples. I cannot see the expected Cosmos holofoil treatment. IMPORTANT: I am NOT claiming this has already been professionally authenticated as an error. I am selling it as a POSSIBLE WOTC missing-holo-layer production error and pricing it based on the authentication upside. This type of error is real: professional grading companies recognize missing-holo / missing-foil errors, including a previously authenticated Base Set 2 card with the holo layer completely absent. My own condition estimate from the card in hand is roughly NM-/EX-MT territory, approximately a 7–8 grading candidate, but the eventual grade and error designation would be determined by the grading company.
