Description

This is a group of 3 vintage 1950’s ceramic figurines. Hand painted. Undersides marked in gold and green ink, “Japan.” Includes: 1. Female leaning on a rock and pouring from a jug into a shell-shaped pot. Ruffled rim. Designed to hold match sticks. Nice bucolic scene. Measures approximately 5” tall x 4 1/2” long x 2 1/2” deep. In excellent condition with no issues whatsoever. 2. (2) Ashtrays scallop shell shaped with a tan jug attached. Measures approximately 3 3/4” wide x 3 1/4” long. One ashtray has a tiny chip (1/2 centimeter) chip (see picture.) The other is in excellent condition with no issues. This set would be a great addition to any Match Safe and/or Tobacciana collection. For decades, my family never used them, only displayed them behind glass. Price is for all 3, not sold individually. Cash only. Pickup in New Hyde Park, Nassau County, Long Island, NY 11040.
