We use MIX 150-lbs D-clips for the area to hook on your pet and on your seat belt. This leash has a 6-3/4" hand loop to hold as you are walking your pet. Works with larger pets. This leash works good with dogs that like to run around the car when it's moving. When you get to your walking area, just un-clip from seat belt and your pet's leash is already to go walking. The Seat Belt Leash part is only to be used when you are in the car and it is moving! If you leave your pet in the car to go into the store or anywhere. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just un-ckip the leash from the pet's collar, so your pet can move free around the parked car. NEVER leave your pet on the leash alone in the car! I have found this leash to be easy to use and my dog feels no different with this Seat Belt Leash or her old leash without the seat belt D-clip. An now as I drive she stays in her seat and no more running around the car. She jumps out when I am ready for her to jump out.
