Description

Overview: Up for sale is this a fantastic oil painting on canvas of a lionfish. A very cool, reaslistic depiction of one of the neatest (and most reviled since it destroys coral reefs) fish. Painting is signed "Rick King" at lower right. There are some Richard Kings that I found in online art databases, but I'm unsure if that is the same artist. There is a pencil-written message on verso that reads, "Especially For Lenore/Best Always/Rick King/1987." Framed in a midcentury style wood frame with linen matting. Condition: Painting is in excellent condition. Frame has a noticeable chip at upper center. Matting shows moderate staining. Measurements: Painting measures 16 inches wide x 12 inches high. Frame measures approximately 20.75 inches wide x 16.75 inches high.
