1988 Chevrolet Suburban

MECHANIC SPECIAL 1988 Chevrolet Suburban, Silverado Edition. 116,223 original miles, 350 engine, automatic, 4 wheel drive. Everything is original except for the muffler which was replaced in May 2024. The back seats were removed when I bought it and it has been used as a road tripping/car camping rig since 2023. It DOES NOT move. I’ve been told it needs a new engine. Here is what I know is wrong with it: - Oil disappears. It burns some out the tailpipe, but no matter how much oil I put in the engine, the dipstick stays bone dry. There is no moisture or any evidence of a leak. Have been told something internal is leaking and that the entire engine should be swapped or rebuilt. - The seals are old and cracked over the last winter due to it sitting. It spilled all the transmission fluid from that. - Battery is newer, but has no juice from it sitting for over a year.
