Description

I’ve been storing my 1997 bluebird bus for 8 years after converting it from a regular yellow 72 seat bus. It’s time to sell it. It’s been converted but needs some work inside to make it a new build so my price reflects the work that needs to be done. If you want a project for a tiny home or nomad vehicle this is a great deal. Here are the highlights: - was running fine when I pulled into the RV storage 8 years ago but will need some work to get it running again. If you know diesel engines then that should be fine. - I had the engine rebuilt and only put on a few thousand miles on the rebuilt engine. The original miles is 173k but less than 3k on rebuilt engine. I have the receipt showing the engine rebuild. - floor, walls, ceiling are all good but I’d gut the rest and build a new floor plan. Some of the walls may need some work. - as pictures show I painted it blue with some of my brand on it so a new paint job may be warranted. - It needs new batteries to get it running - tires are still in good shape - RV door needs some finishing around it and I’d suggest you replace door glass with clear glass. - when I converted I put about $25k into it. - Originally I had a large roof top tent on the roof that you got to from interior ladder. This means there are two sets of roof bars on top for mounting things, like a tent or solar, etc. - no power or water or plumbing so it’s pretty raw. If I got it running myself the price would be more because between the bus and basic conversion stuff it’s probably worth $12-$15k I’m selling it for $5000. I’d like to just get rid of it after 8 years. Pretty firm on price so I’m not interested in or will respond to lowball offers or trades. Title is clean and clear. It was registered as an RV but registration was not paid as it was stored. Any registration costs or needs with dmv is at your cost. It’s located at a RV resort storage in Temecula. If you can get it running yourself then you get it at this price, which is cheap. Otherwise I’ll work on getting it running and then charge much more. Serious inquiries only. I live outside of California but can arrange for you to see it. I’ll be in San Diego late March to sell it with title and keys in hand, if you are interested.
