Chinese 1950s Black Cloisonné Vase Chrysanthemum Pattern Black Base 2.25x7.75” Great vintage condition consistent with its age. Pictures are part of the description, please check them & let me know if you require additional ones. Defects & imperfections - please check pictures made under the bright light & magnification: one section near the base has a scuffed ding with missing enamel (see last photo); not noticeable at all due to the busy design, but it’s there if you go looking. Fascinating Fun Facts: • Cloisonné is an ancient enameling technique perfected in imperial China, using tiny wire cells filled with colored enamel • The dark background here makes the flowers pop — typical of late 20th century export cloisonné • This style was especially popular with collectors for its bold color and traditional symbolism (chrysanthemums = longevity) Dimensions: 2.25 x 7.75 in (including base) Weight: 13 oz Love more than one item from my store?
