Description
Beautiful coffee table designed by German sculptor, Knut Hesterberg for Ronald Schmitt in 1965. Base emulates propellers with a sense of movement and cunningness. The base is a bronze/gold lacquered aluminum frame and harkens to the industrial inspiration, while the soft, swooping lines of the sculpture allude to the wind coming from the propellers. A round, sturdy glass top is propped atop, thick and functional. Wear is consistent with age and is shown in the video. Some scuffs on the base, one slight scratch in the glass and missing one plastic pad where the glass rests on one of the three propellers (black felt piece used for now, although a small plastic piece to match the other two could certainly be acquired and easily placed). Measures 34“ Dia x 19“ H
