1988 Gibson Les Paul Custom Showcase - 1 of 200

1988 Gibson Les Paul Custom Showcase Lite. Gibson only made 200 of these back in 1988. These guitar featured thinner bodies, similar to ESP Eclipses and different finishes than the Custom line normally offered. They came stock with EMG 81/81 sets and all black hardware. It comes with its original Gibson Case and paperwork, including its original sales receipt and COA. It did have a headstock repair back in 1990. It was repaired professionally by Terry Straker from Guitar Works in Chicago. No issues with tuning stability or intonation. The repair has held up over the years. This was purchased from the original owner who had quit playing back in the late 90’s. The guitar has largely sat in its case ever since. Aside the repair the guitar is in great condition for age. Just a couple small dings. None are in a prominent area. The guitar is all original as well. I priced this roughly 2k less than their recently sold market price to account for the repair. $3200. Mostly looking to sell but may consider trades for Ernie Ball Music Man, other high end Gibsons, Morgan, Suhr, etc
