Very good condition 1943 Gibson “Banner Logo” J-45 in sunburst. No breaks. This example has obviously undergone a restoration, and has some stories to tell. Replaced parts include: replaced bridge, bridge pins, pickguard, and tuners. The guitar also underwent a refinish as pictured, and a good one at that. The neck block does not sport the normal FON, but has been verified by Gruhn Guitars here in Nashville. An active pickup has also been added within the sound hole, which can easily be removed per the request of the eventual buyer. Outside of the obvious restoration work, this guitar absolutely sings and is quite loud when played with a pick. Personally I would be very satisfied just playing this fingerstyle, but it really shines with nice open chords down near the first through fifth fret. Nice chunky neck profile as is to be expected with a 40’s banner J-45. This is also a very nicely balanced example, with dialed intonation and a very well rounded sound up the entire fretboard.
