Description

Hello and thank you for looking. Available for your consideration is my Seth Thomas #2 Regulator clock. The #2 was first produced in 1860, and had a production span on nearly 100 years. This particular clock dates to around the late 1920's or early 30's. I'm a clock enthusiast and have about thirty in my collection. This week I purchased three large antique clocks and need to make some wall space... hence, why I'm posting this piece (I have another #2 in cherry wood which I'm keeping - forever)! I purchased this clock in October, 2020, from an auction house in Pennsylvania. I'm happy to share the particulars, but including tax, hammer fee, and shipping, I have about $800 in this clock. Based on that auction, I believe that this clock belonged to the family of Dr. Pohl, in Lancaster, PA. I've been running it ever since it arrived and it has run flawlessly and keeps perfect time. The clock is 36" long and 16" wide (max). The case is made of oak. The glass is perfect and shows a slight wave when observed from an angle. The clock is completely original including the 8 day movement. I service my clocks myself. This clock was last cleaned and serviced about a year ago. I will warranty the clock for six months. If you have any mechanical issues, simply bring it back in the same condition and I'll fix it or refund your money. I'm also happy to service the clock in a couple of years free of charge while you wait (it only takes about 30 mins with a clock in top notch condition like this #2). If you're new to the antique clock world, I'll give you a complete tutorial on the setup which is extremely simple. I've priced the clock very reasonably and hope to rehome it to someone who will run and enjoy it. Friendly and reliable seller here. I'm located just east of the Orlando International Airport. Please feel free to write with any questions you may have. I appreciate your time and consideration!
