Description
Antique Rayo Pony No. 21 lantern, from the early 20th century. This metal and glass lantern was manufactured by Standard Oil for their Rayo line of lanterns and lamps. Burning kerosene as fuel, this lamp would have been clamped to the side of a horse-drawn buggy or carriage. This lantern features a side-mounted clip, as well as a top handle. Behind the glass would of been a mounted red rear lense. * See notes below* The globe has a crack running down the side. It’s not all the way through the glass and the globe can be removed without breaking. I have it turned to the side in the photos to not impact the visual of the lantern. The red lense is missing and I have a red reflector showing in the photo . If you decided to put in the reflector, it would need to be sanded down slightly to fit in the opening.
