Description
Reynold Schilke worked in consultation with Yamaha in the design of the Yamaha YTR-734. It is very similar to the Schilke B5 trumpet. It has been reported that the YTR 734 trumpets with the "A" at the end of the serial number was manufactured by the Schilke craftsmen using the Yamaha parts. This trumpet has the "A" at the end of the serial number. It is a medium large bore and plays very well. The valves have very good compression and are very smooth. The are some small specks in the silver plating that has no effect on the way the trumpet plays, no red rot. There are no leaks in the lead pipe and very few dents. There has been dent removal in the #2 valve slide. It has just been ultrasonically cleaned, lubricated, valve alignment and serviced. The case is in excellent condition and the latches work as they should. This trumpet is ready to play. The horn has been well cared for. It would be a great step up horn for a student that would take him/her through high school and college. (see photos and other items)
