Actually the BEST experience purchasing my car here at CA Motor Cars. We worked with Darren and he was soo patient and kind. My dad helped me find the car online and we drove about an hour and a half to come see it - a white 09 Kia Sportage in AMAZING condition. We went out a total of 3 times before driving off the lot☺️

Since the car was an 09 we had to go through a credit union instead of a regular bank (we could have paid cash but I wanted to have a monthly payment instead) and it was a bit of a tedious process, BUT Darren was sooo kind throughout the whole process. He waited for our loan to get processed, helped us with the credit unions’s weird requests, and ultimately in a span of 7-10 days we were able to purchase the car and drive off as HAPPY CUSTOMERS. I look at my car every day and am so so so grateful for it and for Darren being patient and trusting in us as honest buyers.

Recently purchased a 2009 prius from them. Chris was accommodating, he allowed us to take our time to look over the car. Upon taking delivery of the car and taking it home, it showed some issues. I immediately contacted them and spoke to Darren. Well long story short, they took the time to help me out and provided a solid customer service experience.  These gentlemen are upstanding and I would highly recommend CALIFORNIA MOTOR CARS! If you are in need of a used vehicle....look them up! 5 STARS!!!!

Went and saw Darren to purchase a new car from him. I cannot be happier with the experience that I received. From the time I walked into the doors to the time I drove away, they treated me like family and made sure I was taken care of. They were able to give me a good rate too. Don’t waste your time and go to another dealer when you can come here and be much happier.

Bought a 2012 Focus at a great price (for the time in early 2022 anyway). Should have known it was too good to be true, but they were desperate times. 2 months into driving, I'm on the highway when the transmission craps out (very scary!). People are flying by me at 90 mph while my car slowly jerks up the hill, warning lights flashing telling me to pull over immediately. I drive 20 miles an hour on the shoulder, trying to get to a space where I can safely wait to be towed. I then pay near $400 out of pocket to have the car towed all the way back to my neighborhood in Echo Park. Get it looked at the next day by both a local mechanic and Star Ford in Glendale. The repair is quoted at $5000 (nearly as much as I paid for the car). I call California Motor Cars to let them know. Obviously I'm not happy, especially after the guy who sold me the car literally talked me out of a buying a warranty on the day of sale because the car allegedly had such a good service history. I tell him the price of repair, to which he says no way, it should be 1800-2000 max, and proceeds to give me a referral to a local transmission place. I call TransMasters and they also quote me $5000 or more, just like the other two mechanics. I should have known something was off, as the car was last sold JUST after the extended warranty expired. Lo and behold, after a quick deep-dive on Google I discovered that there was a class action lawsuit a couple years back about the car's faulty "dual clutch" transmission, and they had all been recalled for repair. Of course this wasn't mentioned in the listing, and by this time the class action lawsuit had expired, so I wasn't able to benefit from it in anyway. I'm now trying to sell the car, the value of which is now down to about $1500 private party. $500 if I take it to CarMax. So all in all I'm down about $10k.

It was either gross negligence, or a proper scam. But neither are something you want when buying a car. Proceed with extreme caution, and do your research, and if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
