Description

So this was a kids daily driver he drove back from Redmond and bend everyday. He rear ended somebody and didn’t have the funds to get it fixed so I bought it off him for $600, found some parts to make the front of the car functional but not beautiful, lifted it, put brand new 31” mud terrain tires on it ($850, have under 50 miles on them) trimmed the wheel wells back, and drove it from south bend to terrebone to store it near the wheeling trails. First time we went out to go off-roading all excited we went and got in the jeep and it wouldn’t start. I’m an auto body guy but not a mechanic, so I had a mobile “mechanic” come out and he replaced the icm (ignition control module) and the distributor. Still wouldn’t start, then he said it needed an ecu but he didn’t know why the ecu went bad and he may have to chase around wires to find out why. The forums and ChatGPT said this happens a lot with these, and the easiest way to fix is to do an ecu bypass. Run a wire to the icm, to the battery, then to a switch, then run a wire from the distributor to the battery and to a switch, turn the switches on and it will run. The motor and trans are 100% solid on this thing, even the front end is solid it was bombing down 97 at 65mph with no death wobble even the steering wheel wasn’t shaking. I have over $3k into and am broke and don’t have time for it anymore so my loss is your gain I’m firm on the price but am asking $100 more than what I paid for the tires. Someone please show up with cash and a trailer and get it out of here so I don’t have to pay storage and can afford rent this month, thank you
