Electrophonic T800 8 track tape player with AM\FM

Description

See eBay listing for additional photos and a video demonstration: https://offerup.com/redirect/?o=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZWJheS5jb20vaXRtLzM4ODM3MzU1ODY3OQ== Electrophonic T 800 8 track receiver with AM/FM radio, a phonograph input and an aux input. Works! But not fully-functional, hence being listed as for parts or repair. It has two main quirks in terms of operability: The tuner doesn’t go past a certain point Output doesn’t give me any sound on the left channel (but you can play through both speakers by plugging one RCA cable into “Right - Main” and the other into “Right - Satellite”) See video for a demonstration of these issues. Aesthetically, wooden case has many scratches, the text is a little faded, and the silver face is damaged towards the base (see pics). The orange glow from the dial tuner is the epitome of all things groovy. Radio sounds good and the tuning meter seems to work. Headphone jack works. Bass & treble works. Volume works but the sound distorts after a certain point - you can avoid that distortion by putting it through a different receiver and adjusting the volume on that. Unsure about balance due to no sound from left channel. With the caveat that we’re talking about 8 track… that part seems to work nicely. This came as a surprise because I didn’t have to replace the belt. Know that the belt did have a kink in it from sitting for a long time, but this isn’t causing a clear wow issue. The belt slipped off a few times while playing around with it but it’s very easy to put back on. Speed sounds very close to accurate.
