Vintage Stoneware Baking Stone~SUPER STONE~Sassafras~Evanston IL~Pizza Brick~Box. Very nice baking stone for the pizza lovers, this is a vintage piece which I believe to be from the mid to late 80's, produced in Evanston Illinois by Sassafras Enterprises ( just north of Chicago) and it’s a marvelous piece with the original vintage box), has “patina” from use ( use coloring), brand new, very cool piece. Stoneware baking stones produce a nice even heat so are quite the thing with cooks and chefs.
