RARE In good vintage condition :) Approx: 1" from top of hoop to bottom by 3/4" w weighing 3.8 grams total Simichrome polish tested! A Bit of History: Vintage Root Beer Bakelite mini hoop earrings with metal hardware, particularly pierced styles, generally date from the 1930s to the 1940s. While many Cataline-Bakelite earrings from this era were clip-on or screw-back, pierced versions are considered a Rare, authentic find from the late Art Deco or wartime, early-1940s period Marbled = Catalin: If the item features marbling, swirls or bright colors it is Catalin Solid/Dark = Bakelite: True early Bakelite (1907–1927) is generally solid in color opaque & limited to dark brown, black, or dark green/maroon Prystal is a transparent or translucent, often dichroic (color-changing) form of Catalin resin developed in the 1930s whereas Bakelite is the original generally opaque thermosetting phenolic plastic
