Vintage Alexander Daniel Austin Productions Cameo Woman Sculpture 1989

Pickup location in Escondido or Poway. 40 cms high on a 48 cm base Very heavy. Over 35 lbs. In excellent condition. The sculpture is part of Alexander Danel’s ‘High Fashion’ collection for Austin Productions released in USA in 1989 ( see signature, date and production detail on base in photographs). The medium is identified as Durastone. The subject is draped in a long flowing gown which is held together at the front by the Cameo broach that gives the piece its name. Art deco/ futurist style About the artist: Born in 1940, Danel’s work- while strikingly contemporary-manages also to evoke a sense of twentieth century glamour and (as the series suggests) High Fashion.
