**BUYER BEWARE** This dealership allows its service manager, Josh Slanker to refuse service on Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Yep you heard that correctly folks, this Dealership no longer works on all Mercedes-Benz vehicles. I visited Mercedes-Benz Houston North on 8/26/25, 8:00 am. My car stalled out on the freeway that same morning. Somehow, I was able to get the car restarted. I immediately drove my MB 2002 CLK 320 to the nearest Mercedes-Benz dealer which was Mercedes-Benz Houston North. But, it stalled again on my way to dealership. Spoke to a service advisor, then Mr. Joshua Slanker. Josh made up every excuse in the book to deny me service of my Mercedes-Benz. Like most dishonest individuals, Josh's story kept changing by the minute, First, we don't have proper Mercedes OBD II Diagnostic Connector for my vehicle (he falsely claimed they only have OBD III), Second, we have too many older model repaired vehicles that customers didn't pay for and pickup. I would've gladly pre-paid for my repairs, but Josh didn't offer me that option. Third, we can't guarantee repairs your vehicle as we won't have original parts for Mercedes-Benz vehicles as old as mine. Their own regular form states that they can substitute aftermarket parts on older vehicles where OEM isn't available. I explained to him that they were the closest authorized Mercedes-Benz repair facility to where my mechanical failure occurred. He then recommended that I have my vehicle towed to the nearest independent shop. Yep, you heard that correctly too. Mind you, I reminded him that i was a long time regular customer of this dealership and have had many repairs on this and two other Mercedes-Benz vehicles. One was a 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300 CD-Turbo diesel. I ended up limping my vehicle over to an independent mechanic, that he didn't refer me to, in Humble Texas - over 10 miles away. Tyler at Autobahn Werk was able to easily discover the issue within an hour. The issue was nothing more than a failed Cranshaft Position Sensor. I Ubered back to my house and ended up working from home that day. Tyler called me back that afternoon and told me my vehicle was successfully repaired. The part cost $167.00. Total was $397.03 (see image below). I was considering the purchase of a brand new Mercedes-Benz vehicle. Well, needless to say, Joshua Slanker helped me make that decision easy. I ended up purchasing a brand new BMW 5 Series. I can guarantee that I will never consider Mercedes-Benz vehicle for my any of my future automobile needs. I won't be recommending Mercedes-Benz of Houston North or Mercedes-Benz as a vehicle brand to anyone I know. The other below image from 3 months ago is a similar vehicle as mine - same make and model, older model CLK in for service at this dealership.

First of all. I want to be fair and honest with my review. I have had a great experience with the sales team and GM's. Mike the salesman has always been amazing. I have leased cars from Mercedes over the last 9 years.

My opinion today changed. The service department is horrible. I had a scheduled service for my vehicle at 10:30 a.m.  Once I arrived they informed me of a new policy regarding a contract for a loaner vehicle. I had no problem with the change.  They stated I had to leave a credit card on file. I had no problem and gave them my card. Once they entered it they stated the system didn't authorize the card. There were no issues with my card. I just used it to get a cup of coffee prior to going there. I even offered to purchase a key chain to show them it was working. I spoke to the the service rep and she stated they were having card issues that morning. They then informed me that there was nothing they can do and to come back. I asked to speak with a manager and he came out and gave me the run around. I had informed them when I arrived that I had a meeting to attend and was on a time schedule. They didn't seem to care and informed me I would have to come back. As i was walking out i overheard the manager speak to a customer regarding the issue i had. I felt that was highly unprofessional.

As a loyal customer I felt I deserved better. I was not notified about the new process until I got there. I informed them I needed to leave timely due to a meeting, they did not care. I was highly disappointed.  The service department has gone down over the years. They give off used car salesman vibes overpricing services and willing to negotiate pricing through discounts. This was not the experience I expected from a luxury car brand.
