Description

Electrical Guitar Company / Fender Kurt Cobain Jagstang, fully custom built by EGC. Gently used but in near perfect condition. EGC made this guitar to basically sound like the Veleno that Kurt used on a few songs during In Utero… “Very Ape“, “Rape Me” for examples. They perfectly nailed it. The tonal range is very clear, glassy and sparkly, but switches over to massively thick and rumbling wall of fuzz without being muddy. Retains all that aluminum clang tone. Think also Shellac (Steve Albini). I’ve owned many EGC’s and this one is very unique in tone. It is one of the most versatile sounding guitars I've ever owned and is great for recording. The short scale makes it very balanced and easy to play. The neck is the rare EGC IsotonaG neck, so quite thin: 1 5/8” wide at the nut; and 1 15/16” at the 12th. Thickness is a fairly consistent 3/4” thick across the whole neck. The guitar was built by Kevin at EGC and nothing has been replaced since. All original. Fender Jagstang Alder body coated in Ghost White Imron with an aged pearloid pickguard. Standard wiring with a Dimarzio Super Distortion and a special EGC neodymium magnet single coil in the neck (RARE) Super clear and pronounced lows and highs with out getting muddy. CTS pots, Sprague caps, Switchcraft hardware, Thermax coax cable purchased from NASA Fender Dynamic tremolo that is converted to a hard tail Goth TOM bridge EGC 24.00 scale bolt on with 6 on a side tuners(Gotoh) and Jescar stainless steel frets. Includes a gig bag.
