Description

2000 Mercedes-Benz S430 W220 – $2,500 OBO NEED GONE ASAP! Selling my 2000 Mercedes-Benz S430. This car was bought as a pretty rough beater that hadn’t been taken care of by the previous owner, and I’ve been working on getting it back into decent shape. It’s not perfect and still needs some work, but the engine is healthy, the transmission is in good shape, and it has a lot of potential for someone willing to put some time into it. Recent work: Replaced the A/C thermostat under the dash. Replaced the main air compressor for the Airmatic suspension. Tires were replaced a few months ago with decent used tires. Engine runs healthy. Transmission is in good shape. Sunroof works. Heated front seats. Soft-close doors work on all doors except the driver’s door. Rear parking sensors are all working with the replacement rear bumper. Tons of legroom and space in the back seat. issues: Airmatic suspension: The car currently leans to the left on both the front and rear. The compressor sounds a little weak, so there could be an issue with the compressor or an air leak in one of the suspension lines. I haven’t fully diagnosed the problem yet. Limp mode: The car goes into limp mode, which I believe is related to one of the tires being the wrong size. This has not been fully diagnosed, so I can’t guarantee that’s the only cause. A/C: The A/C currently doesn’t work. I replaced the thermostat under the dash, checked/replaced fuses as needed, added refrigerant, and reset codes, but still haven’t gotten it working. I suspect the blower motor may be the issue, but it hasn’t been confirmed. Body damage: Dents and scratches throughout the car from the previous owner. Front fenders: Pretty beat up from the previous owner driving it with the suspension compressor out. They’re replaceable and would be a good place to start if you want to clean up the body. Rear bumper: Has been replaced with a black bumper. All parking sensors work, but the bumper does not match the rest of the car. Trunk: The trunk closes, but it won’t open from the inside or with the key. This was an issue left by the previous owner. Driver’s door: Soft-close feature does not work. Back fees: Approximately $300 in back fees owed. I'm being upfront about the condition so there are no surprises. This is an older luxury Mercedes that needs some attention, but the engine and transmission are in good shape, and I've already put time and money into getting some of the neglected issues taken care of. Asking $2,500 OBO. Open to reasonable offers. Sold as-is!! this is a project car and will need some work. Message me if you're interested or have any questions.
