An antique Eastlake felt-top Sea Captain's Desk. This American Victorian period desk is made of solid wood which is carved and incised along the decorative fence at top, as well as the apron and legs. The desk has a green felt inlay on the writing surface, which is angled downwards and opens to reveal several compartments. The desk has ornately carved pierced sides with arching and turning along the four stiles that double as legs. The two sides of the piece are connected by a spreader with a middle finial. Measuring 24.5" wide x 36" tall x 13.5" deep, this rarity is in excellent, well cared for antique condition with a faint ink spill stain to the interior. Currently on display at the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall, booth #98 in Wheat Ridge open daily from 9am til 9pm .
