Antique French Comtoise Grandfather Clock. From Bourganeuf. 86” H x 18.5” W x 12.5” D This lovely French Grandfather clock is being sold as is and has not been tested. It seems to have all of the inner workings in place but I am certainly not a clock expert. It is a 3 part clock, the lower body case, the upper body case and the enamel and brass face and mechanism. The cases are bottomless. There is no pendulum, keys nor weights. The brass bell on top is loose and not held down with a screw. It has a very loud chime. The stamped brass around the hand painted porcelain face is bent at the top and shows age and wear. I believe this dates to the late 1800’s. Please see the photos for the manufacturers name and the city. The wood is very lightweight and this piece is very easily maneuverable. This clock is being sold as-is and for decorative purposes only. We use excellent white glove shippers that travel to most of the US but please contact us before buying so that we can be sure we can ship to your precise location. I will personally, professionally package the face separately making sure there will not be damage. However, I cannot guarantee that inner mechanism can handle a lot of movement but this can be discussed before shipment and I will do my best to accommodate specific packaging requests.
